Great videos! Definitely some must have been before the new rule was in place but still fun to watch. The little bloop over 3B is DD’s favorite place to put it when the IF moves in on her.

😁 call those little bloops 'Dumpy Do's'

See they create rules to try and control things that are taking over!

Hoping people will add more videos and names of talent that uses this weapon.

That's what DD's (14U) slapping coach (private batting coach) is teaching DD. How to read the defense and do everything she's learned since she was 8. Unfortunately, so far, none of DD's HC understands slapping. DD hasn't really slapped in the past few years in games. When she tried it and not get on base, her HC would tell her to stop slapping and hit away instead. DD has a good bat but she really needs to get over hear fear of slapping in a game.

We got the same type of "coaching" in my DD's last year of 12U about slapping/bunting. Just like pitchers, slappers have to practice their craft in game situations. We specifically targeted tryouts with coaches for 1st year 14U that really wanted slappers/3x threats. DD is MUCH MUCH happier at the new team.

Ask the slapping coach if there are teams he or she know are looking for slappers, that's how we ended up getting the coach contact for the new team. Player maturity / personal conduct expectations are much higher with the new coach and that works well with DD's personality.

Good luck.

Have always sought coaches that have an understanding for the technical aspects in the game. They have a better ability to develop well-rounded players.
