it would have made it all the way to the plate with proper pull back. She put that thing at her ear. Mechanics I give a C. Strength I give an A....The actual throw ill give a C also! Takes a strong lady to make a throw that was roughly 160 feet with mechanics like that! She nees a better lean in and release that back foot...notice how her butt stays back!
When you're that strong, and the play is at a distance you can get to with a shuffle and an infield throw, you do it. This isn't 12U B level travel ball. The thumb to thigh, crow hop throw is reserved for times when you need the extra momentum to get it there. Be smart enough to know the difference.
Kinda like our complain about Chamberlain hitting thread, as a coach you just say...."nice job keep doing what you are doing" but she really overran it a bit fielding it too high for my comfort...lol

Now the cramping in her at bat right after that was interesting. Took her out of the game.
