I don't understand how people are making the connection that because she leaps her other mechanics can't be correct.

Thats like saying all men fastpitch is mechanically incorrect because they leap.

I don't think that's what Rick was saying. The way I read it, he was saying the leap this particular girl was doing was not good and not helpful. If a pitcher is going to "leap" then they should make sure they get an advantage from it. Otherwise, not only is it mechanically unsound but, you don't benefit! Jumping upwards doesn't really help the cause much. Bottom line, if you're going to cheat then get your money's worth!!!
