Agree with the article. A couple of other points:

(1) Very few people know *HOW* to do resistance training.
(2) Results take months, not days.

Agree with the article above. When training youth athletes the focus should be on motor control and movement patterns, establishing exercise technique and keeping it fun so they don't lose interest. Below is an article I wrote for parents and coaches so they could see the concepts and philosophies behind training youth athletes and get a better understanding of some of the exercises that were being performed.
