I've seen this referenced several times and I don't think I understand the concept. First of all when posting in this thread I think we need to define what pre-pitch is. To me pre-pitch is prior to any motion by pitcher, the pitcher is standing on the mound reading the signs and batter is in their stance getting ready to start their sequence. Now I understand that certain ridiculous stances can hinder a batter from starting their sequence on time and affect their balance. But let's eliminate the silly stances from the discussion. IMO there are many versions of a stance, come in all shapes and styles.. but if it does not interfere with a hitter getting to the proper FYB position with good posture on time then it doesn't make any difference(from a technical perspective) what the hitter is doing during pre-pitch(my definition of pre-pitch above).
