Any thoughts on guidelines for the maximum number of pitches a 14U girl should throw in a day or a weekend? I don't want to hurt arms or exhaust them.

I have had pitchers throw 250 in a day and 350 over two days, is this too much?

Probably, but done occasionally isn't going to ruin a pitcher's arm. I would make sure mechanics are not breaking down if she is getting to the top end of your range. You also need to remember all of the warm-ups and in-between 1/2 innings pitches.

DD's former pitching coach had two shoulder surgeries in college and her career was over. She attributed the injury to overuse in travel ball where she would sometimes pitch 5 games in a single day.
