I would hate for a team to get slandered on here for the decisions of the coach. The team you mentioned is a very good team and you left out the Super 7 (7 game guarantee in 3 days to bracket) tournament in Cape that they won as well, which had several very good teams from around the mid-west.

No slander involved whatsoever. All that was stated was facts. In the interest of getting it right - they didn’t win 7 in the spring, however they did finish in the final 4. A very solid tournament every year for sure. I personally know the coaches and I can tell you they are great people and I didn’t state any facts above that I wouldn’t say to them directly. They certainly didn’t sandbag compared to other teams I’ve seen. I would speculate they went 12B and the GL nationals because that was the closest “nationals” geographically.
