A couple of people have said to put this here. Last couple of months have been really hard for me personally but I've got through it. Took a long break from the board as life was hectic and I was turning nasty and that's something I needed to work on. But one thing I did keep up with was my weight loss target and as of today I have lost 82lbs in just under a year (July 26th is me one year anniversary)

And since I'm a softballer and this is a softball board I'm using softball pictures to show my progress.

Last season I was struggling to run the bases. I would often have someone bat for me because if I had to run the bases I would be struggling to pitch. The second photo was taken at a tournament where I pitched three games, played seven and ran the bases more times than I can count. I rarely hit more than a one bagger, that tournament I hit a two bagger (that should have been a three, still not fast!) Having said that, playing a two day weekend is MUCH harder at 28 than it was at 18. Could barely walk after that weekend.

I went from a resting heart rate of over 80 to one of 57 (for my age that puts me in the athlete range!) I run 4km runs as a hobby. (yeah I'm nuts)

I have another 70lb to lose but I'll get there and then there's masters!

Absoutley great!! I am a father a grandfather of a wonderful family who have fought the weight battle all their lives. It is so emotional for me to see folks who are accomplishing their dream. Keep up the great work. You will be in my prayers.

In your face
I wondered where you've been, so glad to hear your success. I'm right there with ya, had back surgery and the doc told me to lose 20-25 pounds. I'm 230 and I weighed 210 my senior year in HS, of coarse I don't have the muscle structure I had back then but at 38 and getting "back" to HS weight sure seems an impossible feat.

I've learned putting weight on is much more fun than taking it off. This big guy loves to eat!!
