Out recorded on batter is E assigned

Simple, HS team scorer come up with more E's then me. Only thing I can think of was a play where ball booted, kicked, picked up by another defender and batter retired at first. I scored it as it happened no E. Correct?

The defense could perform a football tip drill with the ball. So long as the batter put out there is no error to be awarded.

And that is why college coaches don't pay too much attention to HS stats.

Other possibility that comes to mind is a play on which you scored one error and they scored two errors?

As long as the batter is put out...at first base. (I know you know this, Sparky, but just thought I'd clarify for the OP)

So if the SS fires the ball over the 1B's head, batter-runner tries for second and 1B throws her out, that's still an E6 on the throw.
