I don’t believe there is any question that the shoulders end up rotated towards the pitcher. The question is more oriented to ‘when’ they are rotated, how they are rotated, and the details of a good swing sequence.

You described the hips being used to pull the upper torso into rotation … good!

Consider what Ben Hogan meant when he said “the golf swing begins when the hips turn left”. For clarification … Hogan was speaking of a right-handed swing. He was speaking of the value of capturing transition and the sequence involved to do so.

The shoulders will end up rotated. The question is more about if the shoulders are used as a power source, or if their rotation is more a ‘result’ of the sequence used.
