Last year DD was asked to pitch in a tunnel to a girl trying out for her 12u team. She was told to only throw fastballs and right down the middle of the plate. After about 50 swings and misses the batter hit one right back into DD's shin. You could hear the thud. Luckily, it was just a bad bruise. For me, there is nothing beneficial for the pitcher in this situation. After striking a girl out you look like a bad teammate and once you let up you feel so closed in in the cage you cant move. Its called batting practice for a reason. I say let the coaches take pitching lessons or find someone to throw it.
