A friend of ours made a proposal to the school board to create a Junior High softball program at Neshannock High School and they accepted the proposal. However, they will need to fund the program themselves for the first few years. they are trying to win a $2500 grant from Liberty Mutual Insurance so that the players will only need to do minimal fundraising and pay a minimal fee to play.
All YOU need to do is log on to the website http://www.playpositive.com/ and "take a pledge" for good sportsmanship for Neshannock Junior High Softball. NO money is required!!! Click on the link for the grant, choose PA for the state and select Neshannock Junior High softball as the organization. This should just take less than 10 minutes of your time. After filling out a few details on this web page and making the pledge, the site will send you an email. You just need to open that email and click on the link to confirm your email address and then your pledge will be counted for us. Your pledge does not count until the verification process is complete.
The top 5 teams win the grant. We are currently in 3rd place but the leadership positions shift daily and we need to finish strong.
They had sign ups yesterday and there were 20 girls interested in playing. They have some amazing female athletes that would greatly benefit from winning the grant. Please take a moment of your time and make the pledge for them so they can play the sport they love.
