You are so right- I have only sold/traded 3 guns and I regret every one!DO NOT DO IT, I PROMISE YOU WILL REGRET IT!!
Traded Benelli M2 camo with H&K markings for an original Super Black Eagle.
Traded a Tikka .22/250 with a Nikon 6.5-20 scope for my first AR middie. That Tikka was buttery smooth. Really shot nice for what was considered a a bargain rifle at the time.
Traded a Smith 4516 for an ACOG for my aforementioned middie.....
Wish I had all of them and the two ACOG’s and the Eotech that I traded over the years! NEVER trade equipment lol!
That is EXACTLY why I prefer the 870! I looked at Cores’ Mossy and my eyes went right to the safety. My buddy had one of the original 3.5” Mossy pumps and he was pure fire in the duck blind with that thing. They were cutting edge with their overbore barrels.I alway love the Mossberg vs. Remington debate. Both are excellent time proven shotguns. I’ve always been in the Mossberg camp, particularly the Mossberg 590. I’ve always liked them a little more JUST because of the safety placement only. I like the safety on top of the receiver more than at the trigger guard. That’s it, personal preference.
The 870 is excellent, just ask the millions & millions of owners who have them!
My first real hunt gun was a 20 gauge Wingmaster with 28” barrel. I hate to think how many days it spent with me in the blind until I was big enough for a 30” 12 gauge Wingmaster.
Back then it was all long barrels, full chokes and lead shot.
