Great PGF 10u championship game

Very impressed... 10u teams around here are no where near that level. Obviously this looks like a lot of hard work, athleticism, and good coaching. But specifically are these elementary students practicing 4x a week for 3 or 4 years or what? Crazy.

Not crazy...pretty common place around here and I'm in the Western New York Region...I'm not the only coach\team doing this...

DD2 just finished her 4th year of travel this year...she's played 241 travel games in that time frame...CP

Nah...4 times a week is way too much practice at that age. That won't even make them better, too much practice and the benefits get diminished. Most teams practiced once a week for a good 3-4 hours and have an additional hitting practice. During the run up to PGF everyone was practicing 4-5 times a week but that was just for few weeks.

What separated Chaos and The Hotshots were their pitchers. Those girls were big and dominant for their ages and no one else at the tournament had girls that were pitching that fast and that controlled with nasty change ups to boot. 85 for the hotshots was especially impressive, great mechanics, a lefty, throwing 53-55 with good control and a change up that would make most college players envious.

Saw hotshots pitcher in Panama City and she was hitting 57-58
