People like me aren't looking for absolutes. Personally, I really like feedback. I don't see feedback, necessarily, as that person being an "expert". It's up to me to process the information, try it myself, and decide to implement it. I do the same thing with the coaches I pay for my daughter's lessons. I can understand why people don't reply as much. I just hope we can change to atmosphere to where those replies are more appreciated and not picked apart.
This is an excellent point, and has been my process since I joined. To be completely honest, when I first joined, I didn't 'know' any of the posters here. They were just screen names and avatars. Therefore I didn't trust anyone at the beginning. The more I participated, the more I got a sense for those that really know their stuff, and those that are simply full of crap. I do appreciate those that are willing to share video and willing to discuss their journeys. Quite frankly, my DD would much rather watch video of Brooke or BB than of Miggy. In her mind, it is a more realistic goal. She hopes to play college ball someday, but realizes she will never play for the Detroit Tigers.
But to me, the video is not a requirement. I learn just as much from the videos of pros and the explanations that are provided. It is then up to me to steer the vehicle on this journey.
