So we are a new team in need of some Fundraising ideas, we have reached out to Publix (We are in Florida), Walmart, Costco, Sam's and all have nothing available for hat drops until next year. What other fundraiser have yall done that was successful?

Depending on where you live it's a nice on to put a football trip together (a couple of nights hotel, 2 tickets to game, parking some cash). Sell raffle tickets are events, etc.

Have every parent donate a $20 scratch off ticket or 4x $5 (you get the picture) stick them to a poster board and then raffle off chances to win the board. We made over $1000 with very little effort, gamblers will be gambling. :)

Two teams we are associated with do golf scrambles. Your local golf course personnel can discuss this with you and let you know if you want to go through that effort. Our HS does mouse races. There is a fundraising group in our area that does almost all of the work to help prepare for this.

Interesting Idea. I could see a team doing these at every tournament. Have a parent in charge of the poster and carry it field to field with an easel behind the dugout or stands. $5 a chance for a weekly winner. Announce the winner when the team gets knocked out or wins the tourney. Heck, I might have to do it myself since my wife lost her job recently.

God I hate fundraising. I’m adult enough to be happy it’s there for the people who need it since this sport is so stupid expensive but mostly I just ask what you expect each player to contribute and pay it.

Not sure how much you are trying to raise? Fundraising to pay all the expenses, or just to put a little extra in the budget?

We didn't do any real fundraising, but an easy one to make a little money for tournament fund is Super Bowl squares. Not hard to sell 100 squares. How much money you want to make will determine the price. We did $20/square, $1,200 to payout, $800 for the team. Paid for an extra tournament/round robins in the summer. I've seen teams do $50/square. Or, if you have a good response, do a second grid.

I am in this boat. You should have a pretty good idea of how many tourneys you intend to play, field rental, cage time on rainy days, paid coaches, uniforms/gear, etc. Do some math and budgeting to figure out the per player costs. Might be harder for those start up teams, but many of the established organizations have a cost already set up.

At the end of Summer All stars one season we were at the end of our funds, but the team wanted to play one last tourney. I told the parents what it would cost per player and they ponied it up and they played.
