Thoughts on playing with a fractured pinky on throwing hand? My daughter has two travel tournament weekends left, and rec All-Stars starting this week…
Follow the advice of the doctor caring for the fracture or of a sports doctor if you need a recommendation. Some pinky fractures would be fine, others would risk permanent joint damage
I assume it's not in a cast? My dd fractured her pinky in two places and also fractured her thumb at the lower joint, both times on her throwing hand. The issue you may run into is that it may not hurt to throw but my dd couldn't hit for a long time. Even when the dr gave her the all clear it still hurt to hit for awhile. Also you risk her falling on it while running. I wouldn't take a chance, just my 2 cents.
