Could you expand on this?

If you didnt see the video and just did the drills how instructed you would not be restricted to that downward swing or any very specific hip rotation with just one or two possible exceptions.

Maybe she goes more into hip rotation and weight shift in the volumes 1 and 2 of the Coaches Choice series. I haven't seen them.

Perhaps pointless because the videos were meant to be watched.

Here are some things that i think she emphasizes that would be valid for any type of swing.

- how and when to release the front elbow and wrist for maximum bat speed
- where on the plate to contact ball, where on the ball to make contact
- making contact with strength, knuckles forward
- extend through ball, dont roll wrist early
- staying back, dont make contact too soon
- hands inside path of ball
- patience, pitch selection, timing.
- negative movement to start swing
- fast hands
- not collapsing back wrist - barrel dipping
- firm front leg
- dont open front foot too much on stride
