The girl with 19 HR, 24 BB, 3 HBP, 51 RBI and only struck out 2x in just over 100 AB. Has to be the State player of the year. Where she going to college?

In SW Ohio High School stats (in the better leagues) have to be reconciled by the opposing team before posting.
Here are some examples.

Multi school Dayton league page http://www.gwocsports.com/

Like others have stated, high BA has got a lot to do with # of AB and who you play. With that said.... The true hitters do it at the next level as well....

Just one example:
Lakota EAST High School and Northwestern standout, BIG10 player of the year and NFCA player of the year 2022 Rachel Lewis hit over .600 her senior year vs. some of the top pitching talent in the state of Ohio, KY and Indiana.
In her league (GMC) she did this vs. pitchers that were going to DI programs, Texas, EKU, NKU, Miami, Toledo, The out of state pitching from powerhouse schools Ballard and Roncalli ended up at Louisville, and IUPUI....

Here is an example of *edit part of a season for a player in D1.
Curious what is the feedback on these statistics?
Just looking at the numbers what are your thoughts do you think this is an average player on her team or average for the conference she played in?
Asking because this hitting statistic topic generally has a ceiling that would be the top performers,
Sooo what do people think those statistics should look like?

Looks like she had a good year. The thing that sticks out the most is the low number of games played. Either she was injured or the coach took a while to figure out how much talent she had and work her into the lineup.

Made me take a look at the stats I posted and that was only part of the season.

It happens. My DD hit a little over .700 in varsity softball this year. Pitching can vary wildly in HS so nothing to really glean from it. She is a pretty good hitter but certainly not a .700+ hitter. In travel she is hitting .480 and that's a better representation as she is facing better pitching consistently.

You can't EVER trust stats IMO. I've seen teams that count everything a hit and the kids have high averages. Seen HR's scored and they count a bunt back to the pitcher with a bunch of errors (not scored) and give them a HR....LOL!!! Errors too are hilarious! A kid gets a ball thrown 10 feet over their head and the scorekeeper gives them the error, not the person throwing it. I've learned to not trust them for the most part.

High level d1 players are easy to spot if you have had the opportunity to watch them. I am lucky to live in a town with a top level d1 program that i get to watch in person. DD plays on a top d3 team that I joke was the Oklahoma of d3 this past year. They had 2 of the best pitchers in d3 and a lineup that had the d3 player of the year and a number 8 hitter who hit almost .400 with 8 homeruns and 21 SB. There was not a hole in the entire lineup. They beat 1 mid major d1 in a scrimmage for what those results are worth. All of the starters on this team could have started for a d1 that needed a player at their position. None of them could have played for the top 5 team in a meaningful role. Watching how effortlessly top athletes move while performing their craft is truly a thing of beauty to watch.
