Do you bunt or hit away?

I agree. Also , this pitcher has scattered 8 hits over previous 6 innings and you haven't been able to get more than 2 runs off her. So , she is good at limiting damage. If you bunt the runners over , you just need one hit to win. If not , you gotta try and get two most likely

Agreed. If a runner is standing on 3 with 1 out ALOT of good things can happen.

No matter how good #3 is shes not the tieing or winning run so shes a sacrificial lamb.

And if shes that good shes getting walked to create the force and to avoid her winning the game in one swing so the point is moot .

Prior teams I never had a hitter like her...

Im swinging away. If #3 hitter is your best hitter, dont take the bat out of her hands. See the thread on the major league statistical study about which scores more runs (sac bunting or hitting). Statisically hitting is better.

Also if she gets the sac down. The you have runners at 2nd and 3rd, then its very likely your #4 hitter gets intentionally walked. So then you basically have taken the bat our #3 and #4 hitters hands

Got to go with swing away as long as #3 is the best contact hitter. If she can place the ball even better. A line drive single to deep RC will score the tie and leave the go ahead on third with no outs. Now you have #'s 4 and 5 up with no outs. Talk about pressure on the defense.
