Different Hitting Philosophies

I have neither been advocating or disparaging this drill. The drill may very well be a bad one. I havent tried it , so I dont know. My confusion just came about because I kept asking myself why a very successful coach would promote it if it were so totally off base as some have suggested. I really dont buy the logic that it is just to have content to sell a video.

Probably the same reason some very competent and successful coaches sometimes endorse a product that turns out to be little more than window dressing. Goes to show bad decisions can be made at one point or another by anyone.

Could be. I dont know. I would be interested to find out if this is how he actually teaches it to his teams.
