Got a great deal on this Allstar through Amazon. It came Wednesday and we played catch for about 30 minutes yesterday. I know it's not top of the line but it does seem like a well made glove and it is stiff as a board, her hand was worn out trying to squeeze it. I also got a great deal on Amazon if anyone is looking for a decent glove. On sale for $99 plus Amazon applied a $60 gift card for applying and receiving a credit card, which I will be cancelling because I don't use cc's anymore. This is an 11 3/4 that tapes 11 3/4 but the pocket is huge with the 3 finger design.

All-Star gloves punch above their price point, and you got it on a steal. My DD used a 12.5" AS glove for 3 years, and it was great.

I guess I'm the oddball here. I have bought 4 all-star gloves and have hated every one of them. The 11.5" was way too soft at the thumb break point. You would have to rebuild the plastic insert to come down into the heal if you were really going to make it a gamer. Hopefully the one you got is much better than this.

Wow. Every Vela -series glove or mitt I've seen has been excellent.

Anyone have experience with the 12” Romero Wilson A2000 model? I have an opportunity to get one for about $100. My daughter is only 9 (about to turn 10), but average size for her age.

Very good price for a very good glove! That said, it's going to take a lot to break it in. It will be very stiff out of the box.

I have become a fan of the current A2000 gloves. My DD has a 1B mitt and 12" fielders glove (model FP12), and we both really like them. That said, some people have an issue with Wilson's Super Skin. I don't.

The vela is a nice glove. A big pocket with that design. My 13yr
likes her 12 inch. Put wax on the inside palm area to protect the leather
from sweat. Dd has some cracks in that area.

Towny9,

I bought my 9 year old who turned 10 in December the Monica Abbott A2000 with superskin. 12.5. It took us a little while to break it in ( caught about 200 pitches off the pitching machine but she loves it. It's more money but that is a steal. I highly recommend Wilson gloves.
