daddyball issues as an assistant coach

Are other parents questioning YOU on why the HC's DD is playing 1B and batting 5th? The reason I ask is because I assisted for a daddy ball coach, and the families would come to me after tournaments and ask "Why is _____ playing SS?" "And why is she in the middle of the lineup?" It wasn't one or 2 families...it was most of the team. Even the girls would have comments behind his and her back. It came to a head when I asked him if we can meet and I laid it out there and actually came right out told him that he was coaching the team around his own agenda for his daughter. Didn't go over well, but after a few more head buts, he's the one that actually quit.

My DD is on a new team this year because of a daddy ball HC. I was an AC and we butted heads over it to the point that I finally stopped coaching.
