Tennessee proved me wrong and won the SEC with a 6-5 win over Georgia.

Georgia ran out of pitching and TN. made their changes early. It is awfully hard to beat the Weakleys.

Georgia is carrying some girls that are only able to go about 5 innings. They need to fix that, this summer.

This thread should be combined with the small ball one. Just watched the highlights and it was pretty much all about long ball.

If you didn't watch the game...about the 6th inning, Montemayor was no longer hitting the corners of the plate. She was putting it dead in the middle of the plate, and Tennessee launched a couple against her.

Amy, do you think Montemayor was tired or do you think she just failed to focus? My DD said it could have been fatigue or loss of focus. It sure didn't seem that Montemayor was nervous.

I watched the replay great game TN made less mistakes IMO, TN speed also put pressure on the GA defense and forced a error or two. GA made a base running error that may have cost them a run. It could have gone either way, they may see each other again before it's over.
