They invite anyone that can afford it to thier camps.

DD has been to a few and has enjoyed them, not sure it has helped her game long term.

Absolutely like them but do not read too much into it.

Do coaches invite all players they meet to their camps?

Camps are BIG $$$ makers for the college coaches, so they invite just about anyone with a pulse...

If you want to know if a college coach is really interested in your DD ask for a campus tour before or after the camp.

If a graduate assistant gives the tour they are somewhat interested.
If one of the assistant coaches gives the tour they are interested.
If the head coach gives the tour your DD is on their "wish list"

DD has had a couple of "We want you's" following camps but more of the "Thanks for coming, hope you had a great time." If I had it all to do over again I'd probably do it the same. Go to the camps of schools your DD is interested in. Tell her not to play safe. Lay it on the line. Foul off balls, don't walk. Coaches want to see you hit. Lay out for catches and remember the 3 Bs. Ball, Base, Backup. Be happy at camp and smile a lot while encouraging loudly. Sprint everywhere.

Is asking for a tour normal for any age or more appropriate for older hs students?
