Cleats that don't cause sever's to flare up

This is about my son but I don't know where else to ask it. He has sever's in his heel and cleats cause it to flare up. Does anyone know of a brand of cleats that are extra kind to the heel? He uses heel cups and he's fine with sneakers, but when baseball season starts, the cleats cause it to flare up.

My dd struggled with Sever's disease for several years and could only wear Tanel cleats. They were specifically recommended by the podiatrist and he did not steer us wrong. She wore them exclusively for two years without issue. I have no idea why or what the difference was, but I'm not arguing, it worked. Good luck!

We have had good luck with higher end mizunos. I have worn Tanels before and they are a great option as well.

We also wrap with KT tape before games and sometimes need to retape during a long tourney day. Do a search on the kt tape website for wrapping info.

I got him a pair of turf shoes and that seems to have taken care of it. The grip isn't as good as cleats, but it's good enough and they don't bother his heel at all.
