the instructors (Jay Miller, Scott Centalla and Carol Bruggeman) said the NFCA did a study of this topic. Despite the "logic" and prevailing opinions, the fastest way to get from one base to the next was to use the sprinter start. Doesn't matter what any of us thinks. The data tells the story.
That being said, the ultimate goal is to have your runner steal the base. Whatever works best for her is the way to go.
By the way, had my first runner called out for leaving early last weekend. Hated to get the out, but I admit I was kind of proud of her!
