IP's are they symptom, the issue is the integrity of the game. Consider the following:

1) She knows that what she is doing is illegal.
2) She does so to gain a competitive advantage.
3) She does so because she expects she will not get caught.
4) She is dominating the game due to her illegal actions.
5) She is rewarded by the media and the NCAA for her illegal actions.

Please tell me of another player in the game where all 5 apply.

See the post above yours.
And I'm sure 4 out of 5 of not 5 out of 5 of your criteria will apply to them.

You mean some of these pitchers:

Dallas Escobedo (ASU WCWS Champs, NPF)
Kenzie Fowler (Arizona, WCWS, Gatorade POY(2x)
Sara Nevins (USF, Team USA)
Ally Carda (UCLA, PAC 12 POY (2x), Team USA)
Cat Osterman (University of Texas, Team USA, Gold & Silver Medals, NPF)
Sunderland-Finch (Cal, PAC 12)
Alexis Silkwood (MSU, all-time school records for wins)
Kaylee Carlson (Auburn, 25-3 record)
Kelly Barnhill (Florida, Team USA)
Kaitlin Lee (Ole' 'Miss, SEC Tourney MVP & Champ)
Nickie Blue (South Carolina, leap and replant)
Carley Hoover (LSU, leap)
Delaney Gorley (Florida, stride foot not on pitching plate)

There are many more but you get the point.....

I thought we moved past justifying the wrongs of one with the actions of others sometime around puberty. :)

Most of those qualify for each if not both of your rules.

You seem to have a pretty low bar for dominant. Very few on the list were dominant. Effective yes, dominant hardly.

Even if they all did meet 5 of 5, which they clearly do not it would not matter unless we are using pre-teen reasoning to justify and excuse for what is happening with Barnhill.

Again IP's are they symptom, not the issue.

And you have a very narrow scope of who's illegal.

No, I do not have a narrow scope. I know many are illegal. Those do not make it ok. Only one meets all 5 criteria and was just named POY. It is about integrity. You either have it or you don't. She does not, nor do those that enable and celebrate her success.

I think IPs should be called across the board. The reason Barnhill is talked about more is that she's the hot thing right now, getting tons of attention and winning awards, for doing something that is not within the rules of the game she's winning awards for. Do any other pitchers who throw illegally most of the time have a .3 ERA? If so let's talk about them too.

So since she won POY she should be hung ? What about pitching every inning of the SEC tournament and winning ? Is that bar not quite high enough ?
