I mis-worded separation, I meant stretch. Who believes a open front foot creates more stretch?
Just a general observation. It appears that when she keeps the bat more vertical at launch/go more back spin is created when squaring up pitches. When the bat is flatter at go/launch she gets more top spin. It makes sense. She just needs to experiment and find what degree of angle makes sense for her.
When looking at hitters, it seems softball players typically have a flatter bat angle than baseball players. I would think this is because of the angle of the pitch plane is different. Perhaps when baseball players try to hit riseballs they have issues because they are not flat enough at go/launch.
Thoughts ?
A few game swings from this last weekend showing scap pulling back against pretty good pitching. 1st pitcher - 62-63 mph, 2nd pitcher 55-56 mph.
Lately she is squaring pitches located in to CF, which I feel is good thing.
