This will help me explain it to her! I haven't really had a clear explanation of this before.

My 7 year old does something similar (see https://www.discussfastpitch.com/softball-hitting-practical/28733-6-year-old-dd-swing-issues.html ..hers is much more pronounced than your daughter
and could be a good way to really see what everybody is talking about :p ) and the Stone feet together drill does help although the bugger
still is able to often get her hands leading her rear hip too early. Even when she starts her hands in the middle of her body she tends to speed everything up
as the hands leading the rear hip is what her body is used to right now. I really have to tell her to focus on pulling back while striding but doing it in a controlled, slow manner.

Careful with the feet together drill. After extended feet together drill work you may see your player stacking on a extended rear leg to start their swing, instead of rear knee staying inside the rear foot and rear hip staying inside the rear knee in a balanced position.

Check out the FiveFrameSwing thread on the rear femur.

Will do. Stone talks about rear knee inside of rear foot often..I think he even mentions in the Youtube video where he talks about the
feet together drill. Either he doesn't seem to see conflicts between that concept and the drill or he hasn't thought about it. My daughter actually
has the tendency to start her stance with too much weight on back leg and her knee hanging over her foot so I am constantly reminding
her to get more balanced to start with.

Stone gets it right. No doubt if a player follows his sequential hitting program they will be a good hitter.

My all back-all forward hitter has a tendency to rock back to a stacked position and then go all forward. When doing the feet together drill she will just start at her all back position and then go all forward when she steps to hit. The feet together drill is good for players who can't get off the back foot. I like it.
