See what she is doing here when is doing her hitting routine, when she is slowly doing dry swings?
Compare that with what the girl in the background in Rdbass' clip post #4 & #13.

They are a mile apart. She should do what the other girl is doing. Yours is dragging her hands forward as her first move, while the other girl is not.

Compare the 2 swings in the 1st clip.

Ground-up rear leg driven swing.. The upper half is slaved to the rear leg vs bb/a$$... Balanced up front actions from the middle will allow for balanced reactions flowing up/down from the middle.

BINGO.

IMO your DD has this reversed.

It's counter intuitive. The mind tells the body, especially young ladies, to not fully use the ground via the legs. Believe it or not, it was FFS who pointed this out to me a long long times ago.
His alias at the time was Groundup.
It's a difficult challenge to over come. But it can be done with lots of quality reps.

I don't believe that is what TDS is suggesting.

TDS is saying this DD/hitter:
The upper half is slaved to the rear leg vs bb/a$$.
bb/a$$= Belly button & Butt.

The load, that drives the swing, is housed in the SCIP axis...the torsion spring....which extends from the rear hip socket to the scap/spine junction.

TDS correct me if I am incorrect.

BB/a$$ is the bb and the butt stretching towards the pitcher during the up front action... The release of the stretch sends energy down the legs and up the spine at the same time.. The release allows for the hands and legs to be reactive to the pitch. Balanced up front actions allows for balanced reactions...

This young girl is using her rear leg to do the work from the ground up, while her upper half/hands are waiting for the leg to fire.
