Question regarding substitutions
My daughter is a catcher and imo very good. She took our Highschool team to the state championship game last year. We did fall short and got first runner up. She also got mvp defensive player of the year for our district. She is our teams top batter right now with a batting avg of around .700-.800 but we've also only played 6 games so far. We've only played in some play days and scrimmages and my daughter has caught a couple of games but the coach has been having another younger girl catch. It's early in season, actually before season, and she may be trying to see what is there for the future because my daughter is a senior. I'm not sure but regardless my question is that my daughter is always in the number 3 hole in the lineup. She is not a fast runner so they always use a pinch runner for her. When she's catching it doesn't affect anything but if she's only batting she will be burned and not be able to be put back in lineup. If she were to bat for say the pitcher is she allowed to have a pinch runner and not be taken out of the game? We are in TN and under TSSAA rules. Im hoping she put back to catching but I'm not the coach so that's not my call. I just know that we have some great batters but she's the most consistent. The other consistent batter we have who was neck and neck with my daughter with batting avgs is #1 on disciplinary suspension and now we are hearing she's leaving so that puts is in a tighter spot
