If the current situation risks losing the 5 girls you want to keep then cut your losses and find those 5 girls games with friendly coaches with the intent ot rebuild.
If not tough it out.
Ive done both. In the end you want to take those 5 girls and rebuild.
Ive played B and saw teams that were low level C-lots of them. Then I play C and see the same plus a few really good teams and on occassion a ringer pitcher brought in on sunday. In the end I see better comp in the top end of C than B so where should I play.
Point is things are so screwed up...

Cut your loses. If you KNOW the source cut them. If you do not keep only the girls and families you KNOW you can trust and start over.
If its allowed to dissolve the team before you do itll dissolve your reputation and ability to coach next.

Thats a good theory. I can see that happening as we speak. My hs league had 2 facial injuries last season alone-one pitcher and one third base. Pretty nasty injuries and costs.
