    If the current situation risks losing the 5 girls you want to keep then cut your losses and find those 5 girls games with friendly coaches with the intent ot rebuild. If not tough it out. Ive done both. In the end you want to take those 5 girls and rebuild.

    Composite vs aluminum-yes it matters. Right size vs wrong size-yes it matters Vibration on a mishit vs no vibration (feedback)-yes it matters. IMHO :)

    Ive played B and saw teams that were low level C-lots of them. Then I play C and see the same plus a few really good teams and on occassion a ringer pitcher brought in on sunday. In the end I see better comp in the top end of C than B so where should I play. Point is things are so screwed up...

    Buy two copies of the ProActive Coaching Booklets on Parenting an Athlete and Confidence (Parent). You do yours. he does his. She improves when everyone leaves her alone. Its no coincidence she improved when she was left to the coaches and the team ;)

    Cut your loses. If you KNOW the source cut them. If you do not keep only the girls and families you KNOW you can trust and start over. If its allowed to dissolve the team before you do itll dissolve your reputation and ability to coach next.

    Horrible message that coach sent to that girl and the other players. In a divorce the kids feel somewhat responsible as it is but then for an athlete to "cost the team a win" Tar and Feather the coach. Downright inconsiderate.

    What about the 1.25 hour break in tournies as in one game ends and the next begins in exactly 75 min. Or a 2.5 hour break between games in tourneis.

    Thats a good theory. I can see that happening as we speak. My hs league had 2 facial injuries last season alone-one pitcher and one third base. Pretty nasty injuries and costs.
