ACL surgery options
DD (17) tore her ACL doing after landing funny doing conditioning drills two weeks ago. She has ACL surgery in two weeks and the surgeon asked us which type of graft to perform, patellar or hamstring tendon. He does both and was happy to do either if we have a preference. We have...- ddose

What glove do you bucket dads use to catch?
I've had a Louisville Slugger Big Daddy the past 5 years or so. It was and is fine, but now that DD is 16 I could use an upgrade. I'm not sure if they sell them anymore though.- ddose

Sock Drill For Limited Space
DD's physical therapist uses something like this to observe rehabbing baseball players throw in the office. They had her throw underhand and it worked well for that as well. They used a heavy nylon sack instead of a sock.- ddose

Sunburn!
Got some extra strength lidocaine lotion, (alocane) that seemed to help. She was throwing fine and then tweaked her knee in the third inning of first game, when it rains it pours. Other pitcher was already out with a knee injury.- ddose

DD ran around this week in a tank top and now has a bad burn on the outside top of her shoulder. Hurts to raise her arm, she tried to pitch today and was basically only able to sling shot it. I'm thinking game time adrenalin will help her tomorrow, or it could get ugly. Supposed to be cool...- ddose
