14U is the age group I'm working with. I am looking for your different coverages with runners on base. Example, runner on first who covers third? Who covers 2B for steal? Runner on 2B?? So on. Thanks
My question is for 14U. Is there any major problem with having our pitchers throw batting practice? I am trying to get away from the pitching machine. I have not had much sucess throwing underhanded and am thinking of having a couple of our pitchers do it for BP. We will move up to about 20 feet...
Thanks, tell me more about the three throws. Do you just run them back to the base they came from after three throws?
The question really came up last night at our practice. Situation: Runner on third, ball hit back to pitcher. She throws to third and catches the runner between home and third...
I need your help. How do you teach the defense of the run down? I guess what I am really looking for is, when one of the defenders tosses the ball passed the runner, where do they go to get back in line? Where the came from or do they go to the back of the line where they were heading?
I would like more information on using ice after throwing. This may sound silly but do you just put ice in a bag and hold it on the shoulder? How long? Move all around shoulder? Thanks,
Obbay, GREAT POST! This kind of stuff should be weekly required reading for all coach's of younger girls. I know because I was "that dude" when my daughter was in 8U. When we moved to 10U I was the assistant with a much more mellow coach and I was able to see the light. My daughter is now 12U...
PC,
There is another port just above where the firewire cable goes. I am using that and USB on the other end to plug to PC. This may not work?? Using this method I can access the SD card but the video is on the tape?
OK,
I'm still confused. I borrowed this camera and the owner does not know about it either. Anyway, I recorded to the mini tape, not to the SD card. from reading the books you can only take still shots to the SD card. So, I have footage on the tape. How do I get this from the tape to my...
What do some of you do to call a pitch-out? I'm trying to come up with something simple, and just looking for ideas. We already use 1-5 for pitches, then 1-4 for location. Ideas?
Thanks,
I have recorded video onto the mini DV tape. Is there a way to get it from the tape to you tube or my computer? Or do I have to record it directly to my computer using a "firewire"? Thanks in advance for your help.
