How to Play Softball During a Pandemic

So the catcher can set up six feet behind home plate, while the back of the back of batters box is approximately 3 feet behind home plate, they didn't think that one through. Catcher is going to have to set up 6 feet behind the batters box. So about 9 feet behind home plate?

My father taught math in the same HS I went to. I once had a class that was 2 classrooms away from his, I could hear him better than my own teacher. Similarly, I have had professors from other classrooms come and shut the door to my classroom when I am teaching ( I usually make a point to do so but sometimes forget). Point being, no need for one of those in my family...

Catcher will be 12 to 15 feet behind home plate and will have to catch ball on the hop.(RAD style training) Umps will be perched on a ladder behind the backstop and all players, coaches and fans will wear extra strength diapers. Simple.

Umpires should be the only people allowed in the stands during the game. Because for some reason parents always make the right call from there. Put one umpire on each side

People who think these things are going to work are the same ones who think schools can keep kids 6 feet apart (and that there is enough room in the classroom to do that).

When I say "work" I am referring to the odds of people following these rules (not the outcome of "sick or not sick"). Similar to going to the going to the grocery store where very few people are bothering to follow the rules of: social distancing (6 feet apart), wear a mask, and follow the one-way arrows. I would say compliance is less than 5% in my area.
