Right and I always wondered how that happened. My wife was working out pretty much right up to the birth of all my kids but that whole not having your period thing would be a red flag to check at some point no ?? Just find it strange that a person could be so out of tune with their body 🤷‍♂️
Not every woman stops having a period. Like I said there are a lot of different nuances to how it happens. I have known women who have menstruated all through their pregnancy. Maybe this girl had irregular periods anyway. Maybe she takes pills (FYI you can get pregnant while on the pill) to stop her cycle like I do because you hate "shark week" maybe, maybe. We are not all built the same. Not every experience is the same and freaky stuff happens.

Fair enough. It wasn't an indictment of anybody..just a curiousity.

Well I will say this. If I didn't gain a billion pounds with each pregnancy and I could do everything at a high level and then go and have a baby and 6 weeks later be ready to go train then I might have had way more than the 3 kids I had, lol. I think there is a reason we have the pregnancy effects like we do. I have to believe those brave ladies having many many kids must have some easy pregnancies - that didn't happen for me and each kid came out acting worse than the one before but I guess some people are luckier than me. Heck - I know MOST people are luckier than me.

I truly feel for this girl regardless. She was an elite player. Played at a high level while she was pregnant whether she knew she was or not. She is young and had an accident she didn't anticipate. She obviously has family support to help her and her baby - it's sad she doesn't have the support from the softball team she thought was her family since she was 10 years old. It's not right - if she can play she should be able to play - that's just my opinion. She was playing and performing before that baby came - I can't see any other reason she wasn't welcomed back on that team.

What fishy allegations? She said he said she wasn't welcome back to the team. She gave her opinion why she thought that he felt that way. She had a baby and her doctors released her to play - if she was good enough to play on the team before having a baby and she is now released why not welcome her back on the team?

What fishy allegations?

1- Not knowing you are 9 months pregnant and about to have a child. Is this possible? Yes but a very fishy allegation, and very rare circumstance.
2- "I am not going to go into everything that was said" <<< that is a direct quote from the post. This is probably where the coach explained his side of the story.

In addition, this seems like quite the burden to put onto the parents of this softball player. Who is going to raise the child if the mother is gone every weekend playing softball? Who will raise the child while the kid is attending school. Who will raise the child when she is at private lessons or team practice?

Sorry but when you have a child your first job should be to raise the baby, not be a travel softball player. There is not enough time in a week to raise a baby, go to college, play a collegiate sport. You have to give something up for the sake of the baby.

Who is supposed to pay for all of this? Seems to me like some priorities need to be changed in this situation and the way people think.

I am sure this post will aggravate some people but it is time for this young lady to grow up and take care of her child.

I had an aunt that was older (think she was about 40), and had been told all her life she couldn't have kids. Was a little overweight, which maybe added to not noticing??? Either way, she was visiting one summer and not feeling great. Went to emergency room, and they told her "it's a boy!"

edit: She was full term, and had the baby that day.

After I had my children I went back to work. So by your statement "my first job should have been to raise my babies??" Who the hell says I didn't. Yeah you're right your comments ARE controversial and sexist and ridiculous frankly. Many millions of women have children and go on to do other things that fulfill their lives WHILE raising wonderful children. I have 3 wonderful children myself that seem to be just fine and I went back to work AND back to school after having them. I honestly can't even wrap my head around your statements I'm so dumbfounded. There is, in fact, time to do everything you want to do and MANY people have proven it - myself included.

Why do you care who pays for it? Why do you care WHAT her support system is? She has one. She SHOULD be allowed to succeed in life WHILE also raising her child and being a mother. I have many friends in this same EXACT situation and have made it work - even while going on to play a college sport. Their kids are wonderful human beings. Wow. Just - wow.
