Went to a camp last week and saw a pitcher doing this. No one said a word. This can't possibly be legal, right?

I think it should all be legal: leap, crow hop, etc. The pitchers were moved back 3ft., using a yellow ball which is much easier to pickup than a white baseball/softbal and the batters are holding $500 rocket fueled injected weapons as bats.

Actually more like Monica Abbott. I don't know why she doesn't get called for it.

We've given up on illegal pitches being called other than girls stepping on with their hands together. Our pitching instructor started teaching my daughter the Monica Abbot delivery, including the extra illegal step.

If it were announced legal AGAIN
and pitchers purposely trained to
GAIN GROUND crow hopping,
It would become obvious in a bigger proportion how much benefit pitchers can gain from it.

Just sayin'
That little bit aint nuthin'

*btw
The yellow ball was made to have more flight!
(regardless of the bats)
The ball itself changed the speed in the game!

It is illegal. She lifts her pivot foot completely off the rubber and ground. Here is the NCAA rule:

10.5.3 It is legal to slide the pivot foot forward or across the pitcher’s plate
provided contact with the pitcher’s plate is maintained. Exception: Physical contact with the pitcher’s plate may be lost if all of the following apply:
10.5.3.1 The pivot foot is in contact with the pitcher’s plate when the pitcher
turns, twists or bends her pivot foot;
10.5.3.2 If the pivot foot has not reduced the distance to home plate; and
10.5.3.3 The pivot foot must remain in contact with the ground; however,
rocking onto either the toe or heel is allowed.
An umpire might not call it for fear of being chased around the diamond by an unruly dad

Hmmm, I've never seen a pitcher slide her pivot foot across the pitcher plate like Abbott does, good to know
