Seth,

she looks like a player! How old?

I see the shoulders ‘open’ or drop prematurely. I think that’s why the rear elbow kinda drags. She opens to swing so to speak.

Just turned 10, entering her 2nd year of travel and 2nd year of pitching. I felt terrible when I told her to get rid of her toe tap like her brother has... lol

During a forward move you want to see the shoulders rotate back bc of the advancement of the pelvis while the upper stays closed. The hips should open the shoulders via the stretch refoex

My advice to you is take your time go slow. Only stick to 1-2 things to work on for a while. I'm speaking from experience. You can view my 10u DD on the practical forum. Allie 10u

I would try and get the barrel more vertical instead of laying flat in her stance and load. Once it drops flat behind the rear shoulder there’s no direct path to the ball - it has to be around the body.

That was one of the "rules" in hitting for DD today.

I have enjoy reading and seeing the progress she has made. I've made mistakes before thinking since they understand one thing during a practice, then jumping into something else is the same practice instead of calling it a day. It's extremely humbling and makes you reevaluate your coaching quick.
