It sure looks like the back elbow leads the movement on Trout’s swing. Could Don Slaught be correct?, that back elbow initiates the swing and hips?

I think is great that you keep sharing this. You learn a lot from trying to swing the bat. Especially in teaching players.
I think there is too much early bat acceleration as can be seen in the short clip, Bat is almost completely accelerated by bat lag (not completely accelerated).
I was trying to preset my coil to 80/100%. So I was trying to get both engines running at the same time.
It looks like I'm casting, sending to barrel to much rearward and in effect throwing a parachute on the barrel. The load to overcome this early bat arc has a negative effect on the lower body. The lower body struggles to overcome the parachute effect.

I think you need to try and resist more in the upper half. Im far from perfect. Been trying to feel out the swing myself.
Yes. Maybe this will help. Edit: Suggest working on the path only, no concern for the body. This is what I need to do with the hands/forearm.
That’s a nice shot... curious if you can see Trouts chopping motion here? This is what I need to do with the hands/forearm.

I agree not exactly right. Probably too much emphasize on pull back. Might be other things as well. Thanks for sharing. I’m not crazy about the back elbow not getting down as you initiate the swing, although I’ve seen it before.
