Thanks Five. I always appreciate a good gif.

I have a hunch we'll be seeing a lot more of her swings in gif format on these sites
over the next four years.

I forgot to mention that Florida has 57 HRs so far and Alabama has 58 so far.

We were also fortunate to have front row seats for last Saturday game, Al & GA. We watched and studied hitters during the game and BB before the game , showed up three hours early to do that. To me the best mechanical swing I saw was Alisa Goler, a lefty who set GA HR record, she hit 90% of the balls over the fence in practice. I’m also a lefty so I’m partial. There were a log of great swings on both sides.

Taylor Schlopy and Megan Wiggins and some of the other GA hitters had unorthodox swings to me. They were what I would call a slowpitch softball swing, Schlopy it sure worked for her 502 tall and hit a towering shot over the score board in the game.

On Saturday they set attendance record 3,200 plus, don't recall the exact number it was great and so much fun.

We saw the game live too.
In front of our TV.
It looks like you guys had the better deal.
It was a very good game to watch.
That must have been awesome, I can't imagine 3,200 fans at a softball game.
We don't have anything like that up here in MN.

If your a player that was at the game and that didn't motivate you then you may as well quit.

It is good that AL has such a good following, but it needs to be all over the country not just in AL.

When I was playing HS football we had 5,000 or more at some of the games. The SB programs at all these colleges need fan support.

IMO, this is backwards.

Goler has a swing that is right on the edge of bat drag.

Wiggins lunges a bit and also flirts with bat drag, but not as much as Goler.

Schlopy easily has the best swing of the three, but has a small tendency to drop her hands on balls down.

P.S. Georgia doesn't think there's a difference between the baseball swing and the softball swing.

Coach Larabee at Arkansas was one of the better hitting coaches we have worked with. He spent a bunch of time with Howard-Hitter learning and he is a student of the game. The dd always enjoyed Mike's small ball camps-clinics.

That's one of the great things about the SEC, the colleges are usually in BFE nowhere and college athletics are The Big Deal for life in these towns (I grew up in Gainseville, FL before moving to CA). I think this is great, and it should spread through the other small college towns in the midwest and such. It's harder to do in metro areas, because there are just so many other entertainment options to compete with. Standford has free attendance to all of their college athletic events with the exception of football, basketball, and baseball. I take my teams to a few Standford softball games per season, and while they're fun, the turnout isn't that much better then a TB showcase turnout. All this. . .and supposedly softball is "big" in California. . . I just don't see it.

To me...it doesn't even matter. They have made it likely as far as they wanted to playing this game.

I would glady give my kid any one of their swings if it would get her to same level of play that these young ladies are playing at.

Most people are not going to be successful with Goler's swing.

Schlopy's is closest to the common pattern of the three.

I was one of those 3200 fans Saturday night at the Bama/Georgia game. I wish everyone here could have seen the batting practice that both teams performed before the game. There were balls leaving the field and carrying 270' plus on a regular basis. Jackie Traina and the catcher for GA were hitting shots that words can not describe. It was an unbelievable atmosphere for a softball fan.

My DD's hitting coach is a former baseball player at Alabama and he uses the same Tee that is in the Patrick Murphy video.

Does anyone know what angle that the Patrick Murphy tee has on it? It would be very easy to make, if a person wanted one, the materials would be less than $35.
