Significantly different, and better, hand path.

RD , the pitch she's hitting is low and inside. As you know it's hard to see barrel turn from that location. She tries to hit that pitch to LCF-CF. From her vertical barrel set it would be hard to see it. Heres DD from the back. TTB on a mid/low pitch and a H/away pitch. I think she turns it fine.

Maybe 'barrel turn' isn't being understood. It is easy to see here. It is the arcing/orbiting/turning of the barrel. One can simply look at the barrel head.

I was the one that created the GIF with the 'red' line. SB asked me to add it to help with a point being made.

IMO it would be better to focus on what is happening relative to the midsection.

I know you did :) The GIF is a simple way of showing something, perhaps inexactly, which is probably better explained by actually feeling it...

Yes. That pitch for DD is low and in.kents is up.Big difference. DD has been told to try to not to do too much with that pitch. Basically, stay middle of the field with it. Kinda like Trouts approach .

IMO, the 'initial' orbiting of the barrel should be with a hand path that 'would' have the rear arm passing through an upright vee ... even for this swing ... which isn't happening here.
