My DD usually takes 30+ minutes to warm up for either practice or a game. I want to ensure she is fully warm and mobilized to minimize injury as much as possible.
It all starts with snaps and progressively moves into full pitching so that she is ready 30 mins later. Now whilst we are OK with this, it seems that we could be warming up much faster using other exercises, i.e. J-Band, arm circles, long toss, etc. which have a deeper level of warmup and which are obtained much more quickly. This helps too on game weekend where we have to get warm for every game "in case" - we want to conserve energy and a deeper 15 min warmup could be better that doing a full 30 minutes 2-3 times a day getting ready for a game.
Just wanted to get some views from parents who dont follow the "traditional" warmup progression and what methodologies you use that have been successful. Thx
