It's by park rather than purely by division. OQ vs BB was on PointStreak because they played at Fountain Valley, which is the main park for 18U Platinum. An 18U Platinum 8:00 game was not on PointStreak because it was at Harvard Park, which is main park for 12U. Games at Barber and FV are on PointStreak.

BB and OQ are in 18u Premier division

Wasn't this sort of nonsense what PGF was supposedly started to eliminate? It didn't take them long to fall into the same behaviors.

My questions is...does this "exemption" mean the bats dont even have to be tested or that they have
a new pass/fail number they are allowing them to adhere to for these bats.

You can see where I am going with this.

The exemption covers them under the written rule PGF has for bat testing. It is written that non-linear bats must be no lower than 1400 PSI and others have to be at 1550. Basically they put a rule in place that covered all bats without taking into consideration some bats compress at a lower number.

The NCAA has the same deal with L/S and you can find it online. Certain models of bats require the exemption due to the non-linear construction. Bat compression is not the stand alone measurement to determine how "hot" a bat is. A Mako is made in a manner that at 1550 PSI it produces the required exit speed and 1.20BPF. If a Mako tested at 1300 or 1400 it would be outside of the allowed limits for that bat. On the other hand Xenos meet the exit speed and BPF requirements at 1400 PSI and Demarini models are between 1300 and 1350 PSI. Heck some bats approved for use by the ASA go as low as 1050. It is not really how much it compresses but how it rebounds.

By the way the NCAA tests bats and the SEC was doing it before every series. If a bat fails a compression tests 3 times it is removed from the approved bat list. You can see the list and how many strikes a bat has by searching for that list.

I know all about this non-linear and linear and different compressing numbers Rambler...
I just don't know about PGF and "their" new found exemption status as I dont really follow them and wont
really put much effort into their rules. I was just making sure PGF was still going to test and not give out an exempt card
as that would have been pretty dicey...haha

Understood and I explained why that game was on PointStreak. FloSoftball is streaming games at HB and Harvard because those are the main parks for the divisions they're covering, 18U Premier and 12U respectively. PGF cut back this year to only live-scoring via PointStreak at the other parks, FV and Barber, where FloSoftball is not streaming games. 18U Premier fans that aren't subscribed to FloSoftball caught a break on Monday's game since PGF scheduled some 18U Premier games at FV, however the rest are at HB until the championship game at Barber (which is being televised live on ESPNU).

I see PGF is entering final scores on PointStreak for the games that aren't being live scored (e.g. second games for BB and OQ because they were played at HB).

How nice of PGF to pass the buck off to DeMarini when it was their own problem to begin with.
CF9 wasn't on ASA's non-linear bat list until Monday. Whose fault is that?

I don't agree with giving CF9's an "exemption" - they should have to pass compression testing like all other non-linear bat models.

PGF doesnt use any ASA rules so what does it being on the ASA list or not have anything to do with it?

PGF uses NFHS rules and NFHS uses ASA's bat lists.

Regardless, whose fault is it that CF9's weren't added to the ASA list until last Monday?

Back on the dirt...
From the niece, PGF allowed cf9's back into play at the tourney but did not allow cf8's that didn't pass initially.

Also, from same source, may not be accurate, but Demarini replaced those cf8's with cf9's for those players. I don't if they replaced or just gave them.

Again this is second hand from some one at the tourney.
