You know what would be really interesting would be to do it wikipedia style, where anyone can come in and add/edit an entry in a hitting encyclopedia....I'm not sure there would be consensus or a final word on edits for even the simplest of terms and concepts

I see your point. With all these esoteric terms, we do need a source of quick reference.
If O'Leary is unknown to some, he's a lot like FFS only he has a money making website.
O'Leary is the king of make believe terms.
My personal favorite is "the inverted W". This refers to how a baseball pitcher breaks their hands during the pitching motion.
I, at the time of his "the inverted W' unavailing, tried to unvail my own term; "the M'. It did catch on.
Now that I've had a few years to think about it, I should have called it "the inverted double V".
That would have caught on.
