Yepper! Is this a place where everyone strives to fit an agenda, or are you guys looking to emulate the best?

As I said I see that...but just not too sure that is an absolute. No agenda...just discussion.

Do the hands get flat from a vertical position? If so, then something is pronating and something is supinating.

Not true.

It would be true if you stood straight up, kept your shoulders level.

Hold your elbow at your side, extend your forearm like you're going to shake hands (thumb pointing up, palm at pitcher).

Now, without twisting your wrist/forearm; tilt your spine toward the plate, now drop your back shoulder, and then turn your chest toward the pitcher.

Your hand is ALMOST palm up, yet you never twisted your wrist.

This is what happens in a swing. The force to throw the barrel is from ulnar deviation of the top hand and it gets supinated a bit before contact as the weight and force of the barrel going down twist the wrist, along with the bottom hand coming up.

There is no deliberate muscular force of the supinator muscles, being applied to make the barrel go rearward, or to get the palm up.

The same is true of the lead arm. The palm gets facing down, due to extension of the lead humerus. The lead arm then uses ulnar deviation combined with a small amount of supination. There is never any pronation.

Pronation and supination require that the radius change position in relation to the ulna. That doesn't happen in a swing. Just because the front palm is facing down, does not mean it pronated. Just as the top palm facing up eventually does not mean that it supinated.

you can try to insult me all you want but your lame attempts at a swing are not even close, period.

You're entitled to your opinion. I never said it was MLB quality, but it is the same fundamental bio-mechanics.

The front forearm pronates then supinates during extension.

Show me where it ever pronates. Yes, it does supinate into contact and during extension.

The rear forearm supinates then pronates during extension.

It supinates a little bit just before contact, and then it pronates after contact.

I thought you were talking about actions early in the swing. Prior to turning the corner.

Coach I'm not sure what you're showing me. If you think that's an reverse "C", I'd have to challenge that it's more like a slightly tilted reverse "L".

Because he is flipping forearm rotations in the chop wood swing....and everyone thinks this magically turns into the game swing he possessed during his career...

It is a mental cue to stay on top of the ball - that's it...

Thx Ray, I look at all the gifs of Bonds games swings, and don't see that action. Maybe too much clear and cream got to his head when he described it to jenny

Ok there....how bout a rewind:

You made a few one sentence comments. I asked for clarification. You said what you believed 3 hitters were doing. I asked what is the 4th doing...no answer. I showed what I think you are talking about....and now I am all of sudden being challenged for clarification.

Howe. You have been here 3 days...you had some interesting things to say...some things I have heard someone else say...I am trying to get your view on something and you get defensive...not where I was hoping this to go, so I am going to get another beer and go watch football.

Ok...who am I kidding, I am going to go find my iPad, log on to dfp, and watch football.

What is the difference between MLB quality and having the same fundamental bio mechanics? I will tell you - retired players....your swing qualifies as neither even though you pretend it is. Geez, you can't take a swing without your front elbow collpasing and your front hip from spinning out early and you believe you are doing the same bio mechanical thing as Bonds?

And the front forearm is imparting force by pronating while the rear one supinates. These for most part cancel each other out and create the early rearward barrel turn that is not present in your swing but is in Upton's...so how can you both be doing the same bio mechanical thing and totally different moves?

Again, I'm a little confused. I thought I answered the question when I said 3 of the hitters shifted and slide the rear hip. When you presented 4 Pro, out of the 4 I thought Craig was a "scooper". I would translate that to be a manifestation of "shifting and sliding" the rear hip.

I'm glad you've found interest in my ideas.
