What is the fastest recorded (fastpitch) softball pitch?

In Texas 77 mph is a change-up for 8u.

I once knew a pitcher's grandfather that once told me that when he was younger and playing in the military that he pitched at over 100 mph. Not a baseball, pitched a softball 100 mph!
His g'DD (according to him) was throwing 60+ at 12 years old, with five or six different pitches.

In Texas 77 mph is a change-up for 8u.

Everything is bigger in Texas, especially our girls pitching speeds...and some of our parents tall tales. Heck, you cannot even begin to pitch TB here unless your 8Us can throw harder than Traina at Bama (said with a whole lot of sarcasm).
