Now his coaches catch up to him and escorted him back to his vehicle.

This guy should have been arrested and allowed to cool off in a jail cell instead of getting behind the wheel of a car. The coach became a menace to the general public behind the wheel of a vehicle. It sounds like he could easily could have been involved in a road rage incident on the way home from the tournament.

You'd think that, but then some little girl will throw to the wrong base and need to be screamed at.

It's the law of nature. If adults are allowed to watch kids engage in any sort of competition, it's only a short matter of time before one of the adults will try to kill another one.

I've often thought at one of my daughters' softball games that it would be quite enjoyable to have a cold beer or two. However, as crazy as parents get without alcohol (I assume) it's probably good that we don't get see what happens if you mix in a couple of drinks in there.

it was a joke.

Hmmm....perhaps. Since all we have here is what appears on the screen, I choose to take it at face value.

One of the nice things about DFP is that they have incorporated "smilies" to help add meaning and intention to the written word

:):(:confused::mad:

These are but a few of the available choices...really helps clarify the intent of the post....

Holy cow does every joke have to be explained?? If you seriously couldn't see the humor, then I feel sorry for you. From wikipedia:

Satire is a genre of literature, and sometimes graphic and performing arts, in which vices, follies, abuses, and shortcomings are held up to ridicule, ideally with the intent of shaming individuals, corporations, government or society itself, into improvement.[1] Although satire is usually meant to be humorous, its greater purpose is often constructive social criticism, using wit as a weapon and as a tool to draw attention to both particular and wider issues in society.

A feature of satire is strong irony or sarcasm—"in satire, irony is militant"[2]—but parody, burlesque, exaggeration,[3] juxtaposition, comparison, analogy, and double entendre are all frequently used in satirical speech and writing. This "militant" irony or sarcasm often professes to approve of (or at least accept as natural) the very things the satirist wishes to attack.

Satire is nowadays found in many artistic forms of expression, including literature, plays, commentary, television shows, and media such as lyrics.

Satire has existed for centuries without the need for smiley faces.
