FPump and Ajay, you guys need to chill. He was making a joke.

GunnerShotgun is a good guy. He understands sports generally and softball specifically.

Hmmm....perhaps. Since all we have here is what appears on the screen, I choose to take it at face value.

One of the nice things about DFP is that they have incorporated "smilies" to help add meaning and intention to the written word

These are but a few of the available choices...really helps clarify the intent of the post....

You say its a joke...I fail to see the humor.
You think that the umpire this guy went went psycho on was laughing?

This umpire has a story for the rest of his life. He didn't get hurt and he can just about top every other ump when they meet at the Ump bar. I can assure you he is laughing about it now.

It is no secret that the Sunshine State has long been home to some of the craziest individuals and some extremely suspect gene pools. Which is why years ago the described behavior was reclassified as a 3rd degree felony. Down here in the swamp he would have spent the night at the Silver Bar Hilton.

One of the few good things that I can say about having lived in Springfield, IL. is that they had park police. These guys just loved to have something to do. I called them twice in the time that I lived there and witnessing this would have been the 3rd time.

On the baseball side of things, I just love it when men use the example of women and their crazy mood swings as a reason why girls can't play with boys. Yeah... it's only women that have issues with hormonal mood swings of pure insanity.

I saw the worst behavior Ive ever seen from a coach this weekend at our state tournament. A assistant coach charged an umpire and was going o to assault the umpire. The other two coaches on his team had to use everything to hold him back. He was cussing and throwing fists.

Here's the quick story. We put up 11 runs on this team in the first inning. Just one of those innnings everything went right for us and everything wrong for them. Of course the main culprit was their pitchers put up 7 or 8 walks combined some timely hits and errors. In the bottom of the inning, their best hitter comes up to bat and our pitcher strikes her out and with a fastball on the corner. It was a borderline pitch but a good pitch and the ump gave us the srike. I think this was the asst coaches DD, and he just flipped and charged the ump as I described earlier. He had to be escorted out of the park and was cussing and ranting all the way out. Embarrassed himself. It was a bad scene. This guy should never step on a field again.

Of course during the rest of the game a lady in the stands heckled our batters at every bat. Totally classless. At the end of the game, their coach Ironically said to our coach when shaking hands that's terrible sportsmanship to tell our girls to intentially "take" pitches. He was referring to the amount of walks they gave up. We didnt even do that, as their pitcher was even close to throwing strikes. Some coaches dont deserve the priveledge to be on a softball field.
