So you would create a "corner" and throw "out from".

So centripetal to centrifugal is not blah-blah-blah after all.

IMO the rear shoulder feel you have is about the 'centripetal'.

So your saying what I had already said is centripetal to centrifugal, but in english?

If so it was not neccesary to repeat.

When I looked at this gif:
Cabrera_highside_slo-1.gif

I got the 'feeling' of a 'push' at/into extension.

Take note that the Williams' "hard push" that you are describing here is not being executed with the rear elbow being semi-stuck to the side of the body ... and that as RHC and others have pointed out, that this is occurring with "direction". The feel for this is in the hands/wrists ... this is where Ted spoke of the hands/wrists being at 100%. The rear shoulder and forearm support that feel in the hands.

Never claim to be innocent. You are certainly are not. I agree Howe can be helpful, but he WAS trying to get me started and he did. NOW I really need to get some things done.
Like a heat seeking missile! :)

I'm saying you have no justification for referring to centripetal to centrifugal as blah-blah-blah. It is a hugely important concept ... a concept that many hitting instructors get backwards where the focus is on a linear push forward to create rotation .... whereas here we are saying that there is a rotation for a linear throw.

Repeat away. Come at this from various angles. The objective is to find a message that sinks home with the hitter.

Very well said!

Here's my personal thoughts. What I firmly believe is that if you use your hands to deliver the barrel to the ball you will have a bigger timing window and more adjustability. Like I said before my DD had a bad habit of delivering the barrel with her shoulders instead of her hands. We have worked tirelessly on "waking" up her hands. It has made tremendous improvements in her swing.

For some reason IMO girls have more trouble using their hands than boys. Almost every girl I work with has no idea of how the hands work. Your hands and pitch location determine the hand path and barrel path not the shoulders or arms. I also believe that when we use our hands correctly that the energy we release to the barrel will take you into extension.

Not here.
Would alittle this help with the feel of 'swinging out from'?

(I personally like Cabrera's foot work better)
Then 'around'?

rd, here's the beauty of Miggy. Even though he knows this is a pitch-out, he does not cheat the bottom hand. The knob end of the bat is pointing exactly to the same location it would on any pitch, just prior to GO. Some say "so what"? I like what Busto's is doing, there's just a bit of a cheat to her hand path from go.
